Lovely looking shop as always, but not sure what’s happened with food here as menu was certainly nothing to rave about. A menu that really only offers a soup and three editions of cheese on toast. Yes it comes out presented somewhat okay, but definitely no justification on the ridiculous prices for food that tastes mediocre.

We have visited The Electric Shop every year for the past few years and loved the food. Don't know what's happened but it's definitely gone down hill. Just had a very uninspiring and unimaginative burrito bowl. Basically some tinned beans and sweet corn on quinoa with ice berg lettuce on the side, all of which desperately needed some dressing and other ingredients. We will not be returning. Disappointed.

Great vibe to the place. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The flat white was the best I've had in a long time and my partner's hot chocolate was perfect. Had a big slice of cake between us that was all kinds of incredible. The shop is also well worth a wander!

Arrived as it opened on a Saturday morning. No table service, despite being a small number of tables. Ordered a black americano along with toast and marmalade. I'm not a coffee expert but I drink enough of it in a variety of places. It's very rare that I would have a bad quality coffee, so when it happens it really stands out. The coffee here was horrible. Tasted soapy and synthetic. Also a black coffee should look black, not a muddy, light brown (see photo). The size of the coffee, based on the price, is far too small (also see photo). I took it back after that initial taste. I was told that if the coffee was remade it would be exactly the same so I had tea instead. One piece of my £5 toast was burnt. (see further photo). Not a good breakfast experience.

Visited here last night on a whim. Live music was fabulous, atmosphere was lovely and laid back and food and drinks on offer were perfect. Staff super friendly and helpful, would highly recommend it here. We were also able to mooch about the shop at the back and came away with some antiques 😀 …
